Building a community of changemakers — one charitable donation at a time.

According to the United Nations, more than 135 million people across the world need humanitarian assistance and protection. Of them, only 72% actually receive aid. Think about that for a minute. Now consider what it’s like for people who may be living in your neighborhood. In Colorado alone, nearly 600,000 people are struggling with hunger, as reported by Feeding America. Team Pay It Forward is on a mission to change that.
We’re a team of real estate experts who partner with families in Denver, Colorado to offer a hand up, not a hand out. After every closing, we set aside 20% of our commission to make charitable donations in our community and around the nation — 10% goes to a charity that’s meaningful to our clients and 10% goes to Team Pay It Forward’s charity, which focuses on inspiring change in the Denver metro area. That means by choosing to partner with Team Pay It Forward, you can inspire change, too.
Our charity helps people who truly need the financial support and will use the one-time contribution to purchase things like food, clothing, shelter, or medical attention. If you know anyone who could benefit from the service that our charity provides, whether it’s yourself or a personal connection, we’d like to help.
Together, when we close on a home, we can open the door for someone in need.
One simple gesture evolved into a lifelong mission to give back.
Trisha Depatie knew she wanted to make a difference in the world since the age of 22, she just didn’t know how. But after spending time as a missionary, she discovered that her heart was with helping others. So, Trisha decided to focus her attention on real estate where she could help families find a place to call home.
Then, in 2017, an old friend reached out to thank Trisha for a monetary gift she had given her nearly a decade prior when she was going through a tough time. That gift turned out to be the greatest gesture her friend had ever received. Because it didn’t just help her get back on her feet, it helped her regain control of her finances and stabilize a situation that was spinning out of control.
After realizing the impact her small gift had made, Trisha was inspired to leverage her real estate business to give back on a larger scale. She joined forces with Michaela Odle later that year to form Team Pay It Forward and the duo have been leading by example through their real estate business and charity ever since.

We’re making a difference — and you can, too.
Since the beginning of 2018, Team Pay It Forward has donated more than $25,000 to individuals and organizations in Colorado and beyond.
Through our charity, we’ve purchased new tires for a single mom who needed reliable transportation and helped pay for expensive, life-dependent medical treatments. We’ve also put food on the table for countless families in our community and ensured that every holiday was a memorable one.
Aside from the individual donations Team Pay It Forward’s charity has made, our clients have helped the following organizations with the percentage of our commission that we share with them:
- Alpine Chorale
- American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
- Basset Hound Rescue
- Campus Crusade for Christ
- Crew911.net
- Denver Dumb Friends League
- Family Tree
- Houston Food Bank
- Humane Society Boulder Valley
- Morgan Adams Foundation
- Muscular Dystrophy Association
- National Multiple Sclerosis Society
- Native American Cancer Research Corporation
- South Park City
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
- The Children’s Hospital
- Wounded Warriors

Passion for real estate. Compassion for our community.
Along with kind hearts, Trisha and Michaela also have nearly ten years of combined real estate experience and offer a high level of customer service because of the time they spent at the Ritz-Carlton. Both are Certified Negotiation Experts and are actively seeking certification in home staging.
When you partner with Team Pay It Forward, you can expect customized solutions, personalized support, and a friendly face guiding you through the real estate process. But more than that, you’ll have an opportunity to give back and get involved in your community.
